"The music sounds better when you're here"

-Apriling-
By One's a Crowd

This record is youthful panache. It's chock-full of catchy hooks and uptempo guitar licks and the harmonies and chord progressions are often haunting. My favorite tracks are Nearby and Acquiesce. Nearby has a happy light verse that leads into a dark harmonic chorus. The juxtaposition of the chorus and the verse make this song memorable and fun. I'm a sucker for great harmonies and backup vocals, and Acquiesce has both. It is reminiscent of Vampire Weekend. This is a great record from a young band. I look forward to many more awesome releases from One's a Crowd.

"You enjoy the silenece when I want to discuss"

-Gimme Some-
By Peter Bjorn and John

Through the gritty vocals and up tempo rhythm tracks comes hooks galore. Singable lyrics and melodies combined with driving drum tracks make this record a must have. I really enjoy the use of effects on each track. From vocal distortion to large reverbs, the use of effects on each track gives them a uniqueness that put my ears on notice. Load this record onto your mp3 player and head out for one last summer adventure. This record will get you where you're going.

"We'll Stay Up Late Making Mixed Tapes"

- Get Sharp -
By The Limousines

This record is sexy smooth. It has catchy hooks and thought provoking yet playful lyrics. The soundscape is rich and lets you get lost in each track. This record is electronica. I don't hear any acoustic instruments. I like the raw and naughty lyrics. They keep the songs fresh and edgy. This record sounds very polished and I would not have guessed it is their debut. This record is danceable.
